2013 is Going To Be Amazing!!

 I have been neglecting my blog lately.... That changes now! I have some big goals for 2013. Some are personal, like keeping my home clean on a regular basis. Some are financial. We will be starting Financial Peace again. It is time to get out of debt!! Some are physical. 30 to 50 pounds off this year. Which will put me close to my goal weight. Some are fitness related like walking a half Marathon in May and completing Body Gospel again. Plus I want to snow shoe before the winter is over and Paddle board this summer at Lake Tahoe or Donner lake. Both of these things I have never done. I have many other goals but I won't bore you with the details.

For now I will be focusing on Completing Body Gospel and Starting my half Marathon training next week. I am pretty excited about both of these. Of all the beachbody workouts I have tried Body Gospel is still my favorite. I love that I can incorporate my time with God into my daily workout time. I get done feeling refreshed physically and Spiritually. I can't really beat that.

The half Marathon is going to be amazing!! We have a group of at least 5 maybe closer to 10 planning on walking together. I has been a goal of mine for a few years to walk or run a marathon, but I haven't been ready yet. I think this will be the year. At least for the half! This is a big fitness goal and I can't wait to get started!

I have had a few people lately criticize my goals and past behavior. Yes I do tend to get excited about things and not complete them. Sometimes you have to try a few things before you find your Soul mate workout or Career. Sometimes your goals are just not appropriate for the stage of life you are in. You could also blame it on my Aries personality and my ADD symptoms. BOTH give me that "OH something shinny!!! Lets go play with it till we extract all the fun in it, then move on to the next shinny thing!!" That is a big part of who I am and I won't apologize for that. Am I the type that will be able to do the same thing for my whole life? Um, NO. That is never going to happen. My "Symptoms" are also what makes me so positive no matter how many times I fail. It makes me spontaneous and Artistic. It makes me a leader. I may not be able to finish a project BUT I can sure inspire others to go for it! I LOVE to support others dreams with a very enthusiastic spirit! I try to live my life the best way I can and uplift others along the way.

So in the future if you ever feel the need to start a sentence with "Don't take this the wrong way BUT...." Just keep your opinion to yourself. OR If you don't support my dreams, don't ask about them. Despite my outgoing personality I am also very sensitive to criticism and I tend to not let things go for a long time.... I don't like that about my self but I am aware of those personalty issues. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I try to be very transparent with who I am.



I am looking forward to the next year. Big things are going to happen and I can't wait to share them with you!

What Does a Beachbody Coach do?

So, you've probably heard the catch phrase, "Get fit, Get paid" or something along those lines, and you're interested in becoming a Beachbody Coach, but you're not sure what that means exactly. Let me explain how I see my role as a Beachbody Coach as simply as I possibly can:


1) Be a Product of the Product:  This means I live the life that I am encouraging others to live.  It means that I stand behind my actions - I use the fitness programs, I drink shakeology, I eat healthy, I rely on my team for support and motivation and do the same for others during their journey, I do daily personal development, and I run my business like a business.  Not only does this give me first-hand knowledge about the Beachbody products and opportunity, but I have developed such a strong passion in regards to the results I have seen in myself and in my teammates that I love talking about Beachbody and the opportunity it presents to others - when you commit, you will see your life transform for the better! 

2) Lend Support to Others:  When you become a Coach for more than just receiving the awesome 25% discount, part of your responsibility is to support others by helping others reach their fitness goals through the use of Beachbody products.  How is this done?  Well, I have a number of ways that I teach my coaches on my team to really stir up motivation in their team's customer and coach's lives to enable them to, first, open the package and push play for the first time, and second, to finish the program so they see the results that they want.  They are actions that do not take a lot of time out of your day, but can make a huge difference in the lives of others!  This is especially important when you hit the Emerald Coaching level because then Beachbody starts entrusting you with the customers that buy products through the infomercials and online.  We do not want people to come in as customers and feel alone - our job is to welcome them into our family and show them that we are here for them if they need us.
 3) Share the Beachbody Opportunity with Friends, Family, and Everyone Else:  The key word there is SHARE, not sell.  I am not a salesperson.  I have never considered myself a salesperson, nor do I think selling at all costs is something I would be good at.  What makes this different?  The Beachbody products and the Business of Coaching works; it not only works, but it transforms lives!  It took me some time to see that myself and to build my own story with the products and the company, but once I saw how great an effect it had on my life and the lives of my teammates, I got so excited that I feel as though I have to share this opportunity with those around me.  When people work the business like they are supposed to (and I provide my coaches with all the tools they need to know to be successful), they find a passion in the lifestyle we promote and sharing this opportunity is extremely easy.  I'm not pushing someone to buy something they are not ready for because it does take the desire to change to see success with this.

I WORKOUT: Because the monkey bars are not just for kids


I love working out! I love it even more when my kids workout too :) How do you inspire your family to be healthy? The easiest way is to workout with them and disguise it as play. The easiest way is to go to the park and play with them! Before you know it you both have had a great workout and the kids didn't even know it.

Happy Anniversary Karla!!!



There are times in your life that come along and alter your life forever.
  • When I was 10 and started my ADD medication and became a whole new child
  • When I was 14 and started public high school after being “the weird kid” at the private school.
  • When I was 16 and a teacher pushed me to be more than I was.
  • When I was 21 and had my heart thoroughly broken by a boyfriend I thought I was going to marry.
  • When I was 24 and married my husband Dave and my son was born.
  • When I was 26 and my daughter was born and we started attending the Bridge Church.
  • And then last year on November 28th Karla sent me a friend request on facebook.
Immediately she took me under her wing when I was feeling lonely, lost and broken.  She helped me rebuild my confidence that had been shattered by yo-yo dieting, being unhappy with myself, and not knowing where I fit in life. Shortly after we met I joined one of her challenge groups. I was able to get on track with my health and fitness. By February 14th I was signed up to be a Team Beachbody Coach just like her.

 Since then I have lost 35 pounds, traveled to Las Vegas for one of the best weekends of my life, started a fit club, hosted trainings for local coaches, spoke on stage in front of a very large crowd, spoke on a national team call, and the best part is I have met so many other people whose hearts are just as big. Now I get to help others on their journey to health just like Karla has helped me.

Karla is the type of woman who would drop everything to help you. She is incredibly funny and smart. She has nurtured an amazing relationship with her daughter that I hope I can do the same with my children. She is really cool! How many people do you know who like to dress up as zombies, play like pirates, and workout like a body builder? Not many :) She has an amazing relationship with her husband. Something I bet many around them envy.  As a family they have persevered through some very tough times and become stronger because of it.The world is a much better place because Wonderful Woman is in it!!!
